"These are the stakes" at It’s Getting Hot In Here In recent weeks two great resources have been developed that make the reality of global warming all to real. This map shows what will become of our country if sea levels rise 6 meters, or nearly 20 feet. (...) This spectre of a future is not a foregone conclusion. We must use visceral images like these to inspire us personally and then send them to others as we ask them to join us in reclaiming our future with clean and efficient energy. If we don’t, the wide-ranging impacts of a destabilized climate will be measured with human body counts as much as they will be by thermometers.
